I got here the day the blizzard started. So not that long ago.

Wow, yeah so you're pretty new. It's weird to think about - the power this place has to bring all sorts of people together to give them a chance at changing something back home.

I don't think I can change what's going on back home. All I wanted to do was see my sister.

That’s why I’m here - to change things. To fix what’s happening at home before it’s too late.

Family’s important, hopefully you’ll get to see her.

I guess I got lucky. She arrived here the same day I did, a few hours after. I still need to get home, but I think I'll take my time now.

I'd say so, wow. That must be cool - having her here and getting to see her. It's something I've really grown to like about this place. A chance to catch up with people without the risks that tend to come with life.

One of my best friends from home got here at the same time I did. It's nice having someone from home here with you.

My only complaint is that her fiance showed up. Apparently we're moving in with him. He's insisting.

I'm guessing you don't like him, then?

I don't hate him. He makes my sister happy, and he's reliable in a fight.

Well, that's sometimes more handy than liking someone. I know someone like that although it's more a matter of not trusting him than outright hate.

Keep your enemies close kind of situation?

Yeah, can’t be that picky when a third party shows up to try and kill everyone who’s different.

Sounds like the story of my life. Did you take them down?

[softtouch]

Almost. We will - soon. It's why I'm here - a contingency plan in case everything we aren't able to fix it. I don't want everyone to die because I wasn't strong enough to succeed back home.
